I'd been meaning to build a portfolio for four years. I had one on a subdomain before my coffee went cold, and the repos were already on it.
Yes — everything is free right now. The subdomain, portfolio, blog, GitHub sync, every theme and the dev card are all included. No plans, no credit card, ever.
No — you can sign up with email too. GitHub is what powers the magic though: one click imports your pinned repos, bio, avatar and top languages, and a nightly sync keeps it all current.
Your pinned repositories (name, description, stars, language), display name, bio, avatar and language-derived skill suggestions. You can re-sync on demand from the dashboard and remove anything you don't want shown.
Custom domains are on the way. For now your you.heygeeks.in address is yours to keep — portfolio and blog included, HTTPS out of the box.
Completely. Posts are written in markdown and stay yours — export them any time, syndicate via your built-in RSS feed, or delete your account and everything goes with it.
